Strada 42 is DUKE’s go-to all-round road wheelset: the perfect balance point between the liveliness of climbing profiles and the stability of a mid-depth aero rim. Placed at the heart of the Strada family, it is aimed at both performance-oriented riders and demanding enthusiasts who want a wheelset that performs in every scenario.

Its 42 mm profile marks the transition towards aerodynamic performance, offering higher efficiency on rolling terrain and a particularly smooth response when accelerating. Its design delivers excellent stability in crosswinds, letting you maintain precision and control even as speed increases.

Born from the SLR5 process – derived from our benchmark SLS5 MTB technology – Strada 42 combines Toray T1100 fibres, aerospace-grade resin and an ultra-precise layup to achieve a high-level weight / stiffness / durability ratio.

DRC (Dynamic Response Comfort) improves vertical compliance and optimises power transfer, providing a more comfortable, more stable and more efficient ride over long distances.Moulded spoke holes (SpokeCore) guarantee a homogeneous, durable structure. The asymmetric lacing (Offset) further enhances spoke tension balance and lateral stiffness without adding weight, contributing to precise, predictable handling.

With its 25 mm internal width, Strada 42 offers an ideal tyre volume – especially with a 30 mm tyre – allowing lower pressures for more grip and comfort, without compromising efficiency. This Crash Replacement service is valid for life, at no extra charge, regardless of the owner’s rank. The seller of used wheels can transfer this Crash Replacement service to the buyer (it’s a selling point 😊). Wheels bought second-hand can therefore benefit from Crash Replacement.  Shipping costs are not included.
